Kids Entertain Russian Exchange Students

Kids are the same everywhere. That's what one Russian exchange student observed following his first visit to the United States and North Carolina.

A group of fourteen Russian college students traveled to Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount as part of an exchange program. The students' visit is sponsored by the Frank Foundation, a non-profit organization that also pays the students tuition.

Gary Sherman, director of enrollment at Wesleyan, says what's unique about these students is that they all grew up in orphanages in Russia. The students arrived in town Thursday night and will fly home this weekend.
