Watch Out for Roads in Rural Areas & Side Streets

The second accumulation of snow this week is expected to hit overnight Wednesday and everybody will be steering clear of the roads, except for those who need to be on them like DOT workers.

Streets around rural communities, like the one's here in the East, are the worst to drive on. Department of Transportation officials say this weeks' below freezing temperatures have added to driving dangers as well.

DOT workers have already started pre-treating the roadways in Edgecombe County. They are asking drivers to give leeway to plowers when the snow begins to fall after midnight.
