Drought Continues To Get Worse

By  |

The news is not good for beating the drought here in North Carolina.

The latest map continues to show the worst drought category pushing into Eastern Carolina.

Sixty-two of the state's 100 counties are now under exceptional drought conditions, including Halifax, Nash, Edgecombe, and Wilson counties.

Most of our region remains under the second worst category--extreme drought, while 13 coastal counties continue to be under the severe drought designation.
