Newly Proposed Legislation Could Help The Fight Against Staph And MRSA Infections

Students in several schools in Eastern Carolina have come down with MRSA so far this fall, and a new report today is giving some validity to parents fears.

This report finds that Staph and MRSA infections, resistant to antibiotics, doubled in recent years. Newly proposed legislation would require hospitals to report MRSA and consider financial incentives for those with the lowest infection rates.
