Police Bust Drug Deal In A Food Lion Parking Lot

Most people go there for groceries, but police say, people have been going to the food lion in newport to buy drugs.

That's where Newport and Morehead City Police arrested 33 year old Heather Honeycutt last night. Officers say Honeycutt had four grams of methadone, which is a prescription drug often used to get people off heroin. Newport's Police Chief Jeff Clark say the Food Lion parking lot has become a place for open-air drug sales, luring people from across Carteret county.
