Election Issues Still a Concern

Election Day action is still a hot topic across the state and here in Eastern Carolina.

In Carteret County where roughly 4,000 early votes were lost due to a voting machine problem, the head of the State Board of Elections paid a visit Tuesday to talk to elections officials about the issue.

In Craven County, an election protest by Tony Michalek, an unsuccessful Republican candidate for Craven County Commissioner, was denied by the board of elections.

Michalek claimed there were irregularities with the election. He said he will appeal.
