Havelock Man In Jail Under A One Million Dollar Bond For Shooting

A Havelock Man walks inside a local nightclub early this morning and opens fire, shooting one man twice.

Officers on the scene at the time of the incident say Edward James Pridgen walked through the Hot Shotz parking lot in Havelock, just after two Saturday morning, wearing a bullet proof vest and firing a handgun.

Officers say he then entered the club and opened fire--- shooting Cory Howard twice. Howard is now in stable condition at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Pridgen was arrested after a brief chase and placed under a one million dollar bond.
