Sixty five turkeys, stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, and hundreds of desserts.
That was the scene this afternoon at the USO in Jacksonville. Marines, sailors and their families had a chance to enjoy a huge Thanksgiving feast provided by the volunteers at the USO.
Donations from the public made the dinner happen. Volunteers estimate they served over twenty one hundred marines and their families during the six hour period. They say it's the least they can do for the sacrifices our servicemen and women provide to us everyday. And marines we talked to were thankful for the food.
The USO has been preparing the Thanksgiving feast for sixty six years.
