Police officers are going undercover to stop prostitution near Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Morrisville and Cary police have arrested 20 people on prostitution charges recently, most of them at hotels near the airport. Investigators say the women are finding customers online.
The local hotels also are near the interstate, which makes the area convenient.
Investigators say the women face simple misdemeanor charges.
An attorney representing seven people who've been arrested says it's unusual to focus on the issue, and he accuses officers of inviting women to locations where police are set up.
Morrisville Police Sergeant Mike Ballard says the investigation is focusing on making the city a safer place, but also letting woman know the potential danger they put themselves in.
