Tourism Grants For Eastern Carolina

Tourism is a 15 billion dollar industry in North Carolina. Some tourist groups in Eastern Carolina are getting some grant money.

Downtown Washington on the Waterfront is getting $3,400 for a promotional piece designed to bring more visitors to Downtown Washington.

The East Coast Drag Boat Association will receive a $5,000 grant to promote the national drag boat racing event held on the Roanoke River.

The Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo is getting $3,000 to advertise the gardens.

The Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce will receive a $2,800 grant. Those funds will pay for advertising for the Carolina Women’s Billiard Classic tournament.

The Tyrrell County Tourism Development Authority is getting a $6,500 grant to make a marketing video for trade shows.

The Washington County Historical Society will receive a $2,700 grant to promote “Living History Weekend.”
