Macy's Parade On WITN

Thanksgiving can be a cornucopia of color but, green is queen at the 81st annual Macy's Thanksgiving day parade.

Workers are filling the twelve giant balloons to be featured during Thursday's parade. Shrek is making his debut this year.

Fifteen smaller novelty balloons, twenty-one floats and nearly a dozen marching bands start at Central Park West and end at 34th street.

Dozens are scheduled to perform, including Good Charlotte, Menuido, Dolly Parton and the Radio City Rockettes.

More than two million people will line the parade route while more than 44 million people watch the parade on NBC. You can see it on WITN Thursday from 8:00 a..m. until noon.
