One commissioner race in Craven County has gone back and forth like a see saw, and it's still not settled. The two candidates of Craven County's 5th District, incumbent Democrat Leon Staton and Republican challenger Anthony Michalek, will have to wait until next week to find out who wins.

On election night, county election officials said Anthony Michalek had won by only 35 votes, but after recounting the votes due to a computer error, it showed that Commissioner Staton was in the lead.

Election officials say that's a prime reason why the State Board of Elections gives each county time to get all the votes properly counted.

Election officials say several hundred provisional ballots will have to be counted on canvassing day, next Tuesday, before a winner can be determined.
