Onslow County lawmen say a driver heading the wrong way down a divided highway killed one person and injured five others Wednesday.
It happened on Highway 24 just east of Jacksonville. State troopers are still investigating the crash but say an eyewitness spotted a red car traveling east in the west-bound lanes just before that driver collided head-on with a vehicle going the other way.
Troopers say serious charges are pending in that crash.
