Talk about being determined to make your vote count. The Number 7 Township Fire Department off Old Cherry Point Road in New Bern saw some excitement on Election Day.
Election officials there say a woman had a medical problem and had to be taken from the polling place to the hospital by ambulance. But they say she refused to go before voting.
Election officials say they saw at least an hour wait at many of their voting sites in the county throughout most of the day.
