Chilly weather doesn't usually hamper holiday shopping. In fact, the cold snap has one group of Christmas time merchants on "pins and needles." Pine needles, that is, at area Christmas tree sales lots.
The wintry blast could make this a tough weekend for the guys who have to stay outdoors to sell those final trees this year. But the frigid temperatures have put many customers in just the right mood to pick out that perfect tree. And they are in the right place to do it, since North Carolina's trees have been judged as the best in America.
