Lenoir County Voters Will Decide on Library Expansion Bond

The Kinston Lenoir County Public Library is growing, but its current facility is just too small to accommodate the growth.

To help expand the North Queen Street branch, the Neuse Regional Library system is urging Lenoir County voters to vote "yes" in support of a $2.6 million library expansion bond referendum in Tuesday's general election.

If the bond passes, 10,000 square feet of new space will be added. Now voters must decide whether or not it's worth having their property taxes increased by a penny to pay for the project.
