Will Gas Prices Impact Holiday Travel

By  |

If you're heading out for holiday travel expect to pay at least 88 cents more per gallon for gas than this time last year.

Gas prices at over three dollars a gallon might force some holiday travelers to stay home this year.

We found that, despite reports by Triple-A that holiday travel would increase and that Friday was the new starting block, many motorists in Craven County have significantly cut back on their travel. Some people we spoke to say they're going to drive regardless of the high prices. Others say they'll gladly stay put this holiday season.

According to Triple-A, more people will travel 50 miles from home for Thanksgiving than last year.
