The New Bern Police Department is investigating a bar fight and a shooting that left three people injured. Around 1:30 Sunday morning police responded to a loud noise at the East Coast Cafe at 1403 Neuse Boulevard. Police arrived to discover a large fight had taken place, leaving three injured, and causing extensive damage to the inside of the building. Shortly after the bar fight, another call came in, in reference to shots fired in the Pembroke area.
Officers arrived at 2006 College Street to find two people had been shot. Neither victim suffered life threatening injuries, and were both transported to Craven Regional Medical Center.
