Early Voting Breaks Record

Now that early voting has come and gone in our state it appears more people took advantage of it than ever before. State election officials say our state set records for early voting this year. When early voting ended Saturday, state officials
expected up to 1,000,000 people to have voted. That could equal 18 percent of all registered voters. Four years ago, 56 percent of registered voters cast ballots in the Bush-Gore presidential election. 350,000 people voted early.
