Focus on Homeland Security

Friday, we wrapped up our week long look at some of the top issues in this year's presidential election by focusing on Homeland Security.

Starting with protecting our borders, our airports, and increasing communication between federal and local law enforcement, many believe even the smallest towns in eastern Carolina should stay on alert. So how do the presidential candidates stack up?

President Bush says our country is on the right track since his administration developed the Department of Homeland Security. Senator John Kerry says he wants to work harder at securing our borders and increasing communication between law enforcement agencies.
