Man Charged With Setting His House on Fire

A New Bern man is charged with deliberately trying to set fire to his home on Crawford Street early Friday morning.

Fifty-three-year-old Johnny Norfleet, Junior was arrested. His girlfriend told police Norfleet set the curtains on fire and then pulled the phone cord out when she tried to call 911. She managed to escape without injury.
