Next Spring, there will be commercial jet service from Kinston. Starting in April, Delta Airlines will operate daily jet passenger service between the Global Transpark airfield and Atlanta.
Delta officials say there will be three daily flights to and from Atlanta. Delta will use 40 passenger regional jets operated for Delta connection by Atlantic Southeast Airlines.
The service is being supported by the Lenoir Committee of 100, the economic development organization, which agreed to provide up to $200,000 to be used by Delta Airlines for marketing and related costs.
