It Could Have Been Deadly

A dump truck driver in the Pitt County town of Winterville escaped what could have been a deadly situation Thursday morning.

The truck was paving near the intersection of Highway 11 and Tice Road near Pitt Community College with the bucket in the air.

That bucket then tore down a number of lines and even a utility pole. The driver stayed in the truck because of the fear of live wires, but it turned out they were only phone lines.
