Kinston Police and other authorities stretching from there to Roanoke, Virginia are searching for two missing people from Lenoir County.
Police say 58-year-old Gail Haddock Dail and her 15-year-old daughter, Heather Lynn Roberts, were traveling to Roanoke when Gail called her husband around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday stating "she needed help." That is the last anyone has heard from the two.
They were traveling in a 1998 blue Dodge Caravan. Authorities say they have been searching all day to no avail. The also say it's too early to say if foul play is involved.
We've come to know Heather Roberts over the years as she is a Children's Miracle Network child. She is certainly in our thoughts.
