Break out the sneakers because people were walking for a cure for Juvenile Diabetes in Greenville Saturday, and WITN 7 decided to help so we walked as well.

Kids, adults, businesses, non-profit organizations, and even some of our pets all took part in the Walk for A Cure for Juvenile Diabetes in Greenville. The walk is held across the nation annually, but this was a first for Pitt County. The walk helps raise money for Type One Diabetes which usually affects children, and doctors and patients alike know this money is needed.

Organizers say over 1000 people walked in Saturday's Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk for A Cure. WITN was a proud sponsor of the event and with your help witn was able to raise 1600 dollars for research.
