People in Bertie and Hertford counties have the opportunity to learn more Tuesday about what the North Carolina Department of Transportation is considering changing about U.S. 13
Tuesday's meeting runs from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. in Jernigan Auditorium at Roanoke-Chowan Community College in Ahoskie. The meeting gives interested people the chance to speak with NCDOT officials and look at the preliminary project plans.
The section of U.S. 13 that NCDOT is looking at changing is between .S. 158 and N.C. 42. One of the options is a bypass of Ahoskie.
