Goldsboro police are investigating a shooting at the Wayne Motel.
Police say a man was shot when he refused to let three men into his room to make a phone call early Wednesday morning.
Fifty-year-old Eddie Carroway was shot in the stomach and taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Police say the Wayne Motel has been the scene of several crimes over the years, including prostitution, drugs, fires, and robberies.
