North Carolina U.S. Senator and former vice-presidential candidate John Edwards visited Eastern Carolina Wednesday as part of his "Thank You Tarheels" tour.
Nearly 200 Edwards supporters crowded Sheppard Memorial Library in downtown Greenville Wednesday. Supporters say they still believe the Kerry-Edwards ticket was a better pick because of their stand on issues such as the war in Iraq and social issues like health care and education.
Those who did not support Edwards say he lacks the necessary experience to be vice president.
