Stealing a campaign sign off of someone's property may seem like a harmless crime, but if you get caught be prepared to face some legal issues.
That's the word from lawmen. Over the weekend the Greenville Police say they've received calls from homeowners who claim that several Democratic campaign signs were stolen from their property.
Major Kevin Smeltzer says taking someone's property is a violation of the law. Charges could include larceny and trespassing.
