Morehead City Police had an armed robbery on their hands at a bank Sunday morning.

Authorities say the Murphy USA Gas Station was making a morning deposit at the Bank of America on 4913 Arendell Street in Morehead City at 8:30 Sunday morning, when the person making the deposit was approached by 20-year-old Patrick Stubbs, who had a gun and took the cash.

Authorities later used K-9 dogs and caught up with the Stubbs at his apartment and arrested him. Police say Stubbs' girlfriend Katrina Blyther was also arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery since she worked at the gas station.

All the stolen money was located and returned. Luckily, no one was injured in the crime. Both Stubbs and Blyther are at the Carteret County Jail.
