The campaigning is just about over, now its time for people to head to the polls.
While there are some big races across eastern Carolina, like electing a new mayor for Greenville and Jacksonville, and a quarter cent hike in the sales tax in five counties, some are predicting low voter turnout.
Onslow County Board of Election director Rose Whitehurst says the turnout will be low. In Onslow County, Whitehurst says there's no countywide issues on the ballot, and she thinks many residents don't know a whole lot about the candidates running for office.
WITN will have coverage of the elections all day on the air and on the web. Then, be sure to tune in Tuesday night to WITN and witntv.com for comprehensive results.
