Gas Prices Above $3.00 A Gallon

Filling up the gas tank is becoming more expensive in eastern North Carolina. And the rising price of crude oil doesn't suggest a decrease anytime soon.

Gas is well over $3.00 a gallon in Greenville. For some Greenville delivery companies, this means it's harder to keep the cost from affecting their customers. Jefferson Florists has already taken measures to combat the steep prices. Store owners even bought an energy efficient car to use for deliveries. The company still uses its delivery vans but only from time to time.

Restaurant Runners in Greenville has added a surcharge because of the high prices. They say everytime gas goes up by a quarter, they add that same amount of surcharge which goes directly to the driver.
