Feeding The Troops

So you think you had a big crowd for Thanksgiving dinner? Try cooking turkey and all the fixings for 2,000 hungry Marines and their families. Once again, mission accomplished for the folks at Jacksonville's USO. They have been serving dinner to the troops, veterans and others for more than 60-years. This home-cooked meal has meant even more since 9-11, with thousands of area troops deployed during every holiday season the last four years, and more going early next year to Iraq, its a big job every day of the year. The USO volunteers will be right back at it next month, when they'll host another holiday meal for troops who have to stay here during Christmas.
