Sharing Thanksgiving With the Troops

Hundreds of troops far from home won't have to go without a home cooked meal on Thanksgiving. Folks have been dropping by Jacksonville's USO and dropping off home baked goodies from pumpkin pies and cakes, to cookies and fudge. All these desserts will finish off the annual Thanksgiving meal for more than 2000 troops and families. Volunteers will finish setting up and preparing the food for Thursday's noontime meal. And later in the afternoon, veterans can head to Onslow County's Disabled American Veterans Chapter house for their own holiday meal.
