Election day is officially on Tuesday, but for those who planned to vote early, the deadline ended on Saturday.
'No Excuse Early Voting' closed this afternoon in Pitt County at one o'clock. For three weeks, election officials set up booths for voters in two locations as a convenience.
Poll workers say the turnout has been fairly good. Carolyn Williams worked at the Community Schools Location in Pitt County and says there were 1445 votes at that precinct during the three weeks.
The final tally should be available on Monday.
