A Jacksonville man will spend the rest of his life in prison after his guilty plea this morning to killing his wife.
Eddie Whitson admitted to killing his wife Connie in their Sandy Run apartment back on January 2nd. Authorities say the couple had been arguing.
When arrested, Whitson told police that his wife tried to hurt him and he was only defending himself. But prosecutors say there were no defensive wounds on the husband, nor was he injured.
An autopsy showed Connie Whitson was stabbed eleven times.
