Fun and games are on tap all weekend at East Carolina University.
The first ever Humorfest kicked off Friday with a campus wide pie toss. Whipped cream dawned the faces of about a dozen professors and students. The East Carolina Humorfest provides performers, scholars, and students an opportunity to enjoy humor in all of its forms. They plan to have a dozen panels discussing humor with scholars from five countries.
The ECU Humorfest continues through Saturday. Friday's highlight, Kinky Friedman will perform at 8:00 p.m. in Hendrix Theatre. He's a humorist, novelist and ran for Texas governor last year. Tickets are available at the ECU box office.
