Rain Dampens State's Drought Situation

Last week's rain has made a major improvement to the drought here in Eastern Carolina.

An update this morning from the North Carolina Drought Advisory Council shows exceptional drought conditions have been pushed back to just 22 counties in western North Carolina.

All of Eastern Carolina is now under severe or moderate drought conditions. A week ago part of our area was under the worst condition, an exceptional drought.
