Shooting Hospitalizes Twelve-Year-Old

The Craven County Sheriff's Department says a 12-year-old boy was shot by his 15-year-old cousin. The victim is hospitalized, now in satisfactory condition.

The shooting happened Saturday afternoon on Old Landfill Road near Vanceboro. The 15-year-old is in custody. Lawmen say questions remain whether the shooting was accidental.
