Senate Approves Tobacco Buyout

The U.S. Senate has passed a $136,000,000,000 corporate tax package which includes a $10,000,000,000 buyout for tobacco farmers. Several senators from both parties objected that the final version of the bill dropped senate approved language which would give the Food and Drug Administration the power to regulate tobacco. President Bush is expected to sign the bill.
