Mum's the word, or at least it was in New Bern Sunday, all part of the Mum Festival.

The 24th Annual Mumfest in the Craven County town had record breaking success. Organizers expected to have over 100,000 visitors to this years festival by the end of the day Sunday, a milestone never before achieved by any previous Mumfests. This year featured the usual carnival rides, food vendors, educational exhibits and much more. However, round the clock music from the new gazebo on the waterfront was a new twist to this year's festival, something a lot of people took advantage of.

The Mumfest is a fundraiser for the Swiss Bear Program, a program responsible for much of the revitalization to the downtown New Bern area.
