Rains Allow High Point To Reopen Lakes

High Point is reopening boat launch facilities at two local lakes.

City Lake Park and Oak Hollow Lake closed recently due to the drought and low water levels in the lakes.

Parks and Recreation director Allen Oliver says with significant rainfall last week, the water levels have risen to a point where officials feel it's safe for patrons to launch their boats.
