Colonial Courthouse Restored

What's old is new again. That was theme at one historic courthouse in Eastern Carolina.

Friday marked the reopening of the Chowan County courthouse in Edenton. It's a historic landmark that's designated as the most intact colonial courthouse in America.

As part of the reopening ceremony two North Carolina Supreme Court cases were heard in the courthouse for the first time in more than a century.

The historic site has been under restoration since 1997. The total cost of the restoration was nearly 3,000,000.
