Sailor Who Died At Camp Lejeune Identified

The Marine Corps has released the name of a Navy corpsman who died during training last week at Camp Lejeune

Petty Officer 3rd Class Samuel Cann was running during a practice Physical Readiness Test last Friday when he collapsed. He was later pronounced dead at Camp Lejune Naval Hospital.

The 24 year old Cann was from Marrero, Louisiana and jonied the Navy in September 2001.

Cann's personal decorations include the Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Cann's death is still under investigation.
