Hagan Says She's Reconsidering Her Decision About US Senate Bid

State Senator Kay Hagan says she'll announce next week whether she will seek the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate.

If that sounds familiar, it's because it is. Hagan said three weeks ago that she wouldn't enter the race to challenge U.S. Senator Elizabeth Dole next year.

But she said Friday that she's giving the race another look, although she wouldn't say why. She said she would announce her decision next week, but not before Tuesday.

If Hagan decides to run, she would take on Jim Neal, a Chapel Hill corporate financial adviser, who announced his bid Oct. 4.
