The Air Force says it is sending a 15-person medical unit from Pope Air Force base in North Carolina to California in case it is needed during the battle against wildfires.
A statement from the 43rd Airlift Wing says personnel from the
43rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron are being sent to March Air
Reserve Base, California, to help fight wild fires.
The team includes nurses, aeromedical and communications
technicians and a medical support commander. Many of the unit's
members are veterans of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan as well
as hurricane relief efforts in New Orleans and Texas.
The North Carolina Air National Guard also has sent about 50
airmen and three cargo aircraft to California to help fight the
state's spreading wildfires.

Why can't we send in extra military to help out, maybe some aircraft to drop some of the chemicals and/or water. instead of sending military all over the world to help other countries why don't we sent several thousand troops to help OUR PEOPLE for a change
