Legislators Pleased With DOT Changes, Seek More Proof

Legislators are telling Transportation Department officials they have to prove the agency is accountable and efficient if they want more money.

DOT officials told the House-Senate oversight panel they intend to get rid of a "silo" mentality that keeps employees from working together. Officials also say the department will speed up road projects.

Legislators told officials that the department won't get more money until the proof is delivered in a month.
