North Carolina State women's basketball coach Kay Yow says she has resumed chemotherapy treatments for breast cancer.
The 65-year-old Hall of Fame coach says she restarted treatments about a month ago. Yow's revelation came during the Atlantic Coast Conference's annual media day in Greensboro.
Yow had stopped chemotherapy in favor of hormonal treatments during the off season. She says she resumed chemotherapy to lower her circulating tumor cell count.
Yow says her energy isn't sapped by the treatment and she is more active at practice than she was last year.
