Founder Of Charity Bike Ride Killed In South Carolina Crash

Officials say a North Carolina woman who raised awareness for brain injuries was one of two people killed during the final leg of a cross-country bicycle trip in South Carolina.

Lancaster County Coroner Mike Morris says 43-year-old Lee Anne Barry died after she was hit by a van on rural U.S. Highway 521.

Morris says the Waxhaw, North Carolina, woman and 49-year-old Thomas Hoskins, of Columbia, were on the last part of a two-month tour when they were struck by a van.
