New City Manager Visits Town

Greenville's soon to be city manager, Wayne Bowers, was in town Monday meeting with city leaders before he officially takes over.

Bowers takes the place of Marvin Davis who will step down to become one of two deputy city managers. Bowers comes to Greenville from Gainesville, Florida where he served as city manager for nine years. Both the mayor and city council say one of the reasons they hired bowers is his passion for redevelopment projects.

Bowers will officially begin his duties October 25.
